Park Hills Circle is the atmospheric indie project of Maris OTierney, an Alaskan-Irish singer and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Chicago. Her debut album - All of a Sudden (out July 10 on Pravda Records, hear the lead single) - features colorful nested vocal harmonies, warm synths, ethereal fingerstyle guitar, and soaring saxophone. Maris has musical foundations in classical guitar and voice/opera, and draws influence from her two homes of origin: the storytelling and mysticism of coastal Ireland, and the open, mountain environment of Alaska. Park Hills Circle songs evoke the ambience of Kate Bush and Enya alongside the songwriting and vocal styling of Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell. Park Hills Circle expands upon Maris decade plus of touring and recording in duo Maeve & Quinn with her violinist twin sister. Maeve & Quinn have performed their songs, poetry in recitation, and orchestral compositions in programs featured with the Poetry Foundation, Steppenwolf Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Anchorage (Alaska) Symphony Orchestra, and Chicago Composers Orchestra.
