Age Requirement

ChicagoAfterFive is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using this platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Many venues and events listed on the platform have their own age requirements (commonly 21+), which are displayed on each listing.

User Content

By submitting content to ChicagoAfterFive — including reviews, comments, event submissions, venue submissions, and profile information — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time.

You agree not to submit content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or violates any applicable law. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Subscription Service

ChicagoAfterFive offers an optional subscription (see chicagoafterfive.com/pricing for current rates). Subscribers get access to AI-powered search and daily curated plans tailored to their preferences. Free users receive 3 complimentary AI searches to try the feature before subscribing.

Subscriptions auto-renew via Stripe at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues through the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.

Pricing may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

Plan My Night

Plan My Night is an AI-powered evening planning feature priced at $2.99 per plan. Plans are generated using artificial intelligence and are sold as-is. While we ground every recommendation in real venues from our database, AI-generated suggestions (including “insider tips,” estimated travel times, and specific menu recommendations) may not be fully accurate.

Refunds are available only in cases of technical failure (payment processed but no plan generated). Contact support@chicagoafterfive.com for refund requests.

Event Accuracy & Third-Party Content

Events on ChicagoAfterFive come from venues, organizers, and public sources. We are a discovery platform — we are not the organizer of any event listed here and are not responsible for cancellations, postponements, venue changes, time changes, or price changes. Always confirm event details directly with the venue or organizer before attending.

ChicagoAfterFive is not liable for any loss, cost, or disappointment resulting from inaccurate event information. Links to third-party ticketing sites (such as Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, or venue box offices) are provided for convenience — we are not a party to those transactions and are not responsible for any issues arising from purchases made on external sites.

Venue Promotion

Venue owners and operators can purchase promoted placement on ChicagoAfterFive. We offer two tiers: Promoted ($49/month) and Premium ($149/month), both with a 14-day free trial. Promoted and Premium venues may display “Sponsored” or “Featured” badges on the platform.

Promoted placement increases visibility but does not guarantee specific traffic, bookings, or results. Venue operators remain solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, hours, pricing, and compliance with local regulations. Promotion subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled at any time.

Partner Deals

Subscribers may access exclusive discounts and offers from partner venues through the platform. These deals are provided by partner businesses and are subject to the partner's own terms, conditions, and availability.

ChicagoAfterFive facilitates the discovery of partner deals but is not responsible for partner fulfillment, redemption issues, or the quality of goods and services provided by partner venues. Deals may be modified or withdrawn by partners at any time.

Promo Codes

We may offer promotional discount codes from time to time. Promo codes are time-limited, may have usage caps, and apply only to the specified service or subscription. Unless stated otherwise, promo codes cannot be combined with other offers or applied retroactively to existing subscriptions.

User Preferences

We store your preferences — including favorite neighborhoods, vibes, and price range — to personalize your recommendations and search results. You can update or delete your preferences at any time through your settings page. Deleting your account removes all stored preferences.

Map and Location Data

Venue locations displayed on maps are approximate and should not be relied on for precise navigation. Maps are powered by Mapbox. Always verify a venue's address independently before visiting.

Limitation of Liability

ChicagoAfterFive is a discovery platform. We are not the venue operator, event organizer, or ticket seller for any listing on the platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of venue hours, event dates, pricing, or availability. We are not responsible for the experience you have at any venue or event listed on our platform.

Ticket purchases and reservations are made directly with the venue or event organizer through their external website. ChicagoAfterFive does not process payments for event tickets.

Intellectual Property

The ChicagoAfterFive name, logo, design, and original content are the property of Southside CHI Solutions LLC. Venue and event information is aggregated from public sources, partner submissions, and user contributions.

Customer Support

For subscription billing issues, refund requests, or account problems, contact us at support@chicagoafterfive.com. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

For corrections to venue or event listings, email corrections@chicagoafterfive.com or use the same support address. Subscription refund eligibility is described on our Refund Policy page.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
