Refund Policy

Subscriptions

ChicagoAfterFive subscriptions are available at $4.99/month or $39.99/year, processed securely through Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing — your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

We do not issue partial refunds for unused time remaining in a billing cycle. If you cancel mid-month, you retain full access until that month ends. If you cancel mid-year on an annual plan, you retain access through the end of that annual period.

If you cancel during a free trial before it expires, you won't be charged.

Plan My Night

Plan My Night is a $2.99 one-time purchase that delivers an AI-generated evening itinerary. Because plans are generated and delivered immediately upon purchase, refunds are generally not available.

Exception — technical failures: If your payment was processed but no plan was generated due to a technical error on our end, you are entitled to a full refund. Contact us within 7 days of the failed purchase with your order details.

Refunds are not available for dissatisfaction with AI recommendations. Plans are generated by AI and sold as-is — the AI-generated nature of each plan is disclosed at the time of purchase.

Venue Promotions

Venue promotion subscriptions are available as Promoted ($49/month) and Premium ($149/month), each with a 14-day free trial for new accounts. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Active promotion subscriptions can be cancelled at any time to prevent future billing, but no refunds are issued for the current billing period. Cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for an eligible charge, email support@chicagoafterfive.com with:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • The transaction date and amount
  • A description of the issue

We respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. We'll work to resolve the issue directly and promptly. Initiating a chargeback before reaching out may limit our ability to issue a direct refund.
